Is a wool knop pillow better than other wool pillows?
Wool pillows keep you from overheating and do a great job of repealing moisture, keeping your pillow clean and dry. What sets a wool knop pillow apart, is the way the wool is able to respond to your movements, supporting your head & neck better in any sleep position, and its ability to be adjustable which allows you to change the height and firmness of the pillow. These two things are very important in getting a well-supported comfortable pillow.
Won’t wool bedding be hot?
No, because (this is where the magic of wool comes in) wool regulates body temperature better than any other fibre! It absorbs body moisture and heat, then releases it back into the atmosphere to keep you comfortable all night long — which is something other fibres like down, polyester and memory foam can’t do. Wool’s ability to keep your bedding dry and free from moisture & odour also makes it a natural repellent for dust mites.
Should I ‘fluff’ my pillow?
Yes - a quick fluff each morning will keep your pillow in optimal condition. Our wool loft is engineered to be revived to its original puffiness with one quick fluff - see full care instructions here.
Can I wash my wool pillow?
Yes - but you don't need to. To keep your pillow clean simply use a cotton pillow protector (waterproof protectors will reduce the pillows breathability) and give it a quick airing outside or in the clothes dryer on air setting (no heat) for 15 minutes once a month. If you wish to give it a more thorough clean, please follow the are label on your pillow See full care instructions here.
What’s the difference between The Classic and The NAP?
They’re both customisable, filled with the wool grown on our family farm, and designed for better sleep. The NAP (Neck Alignment Pillow) has been designed to help prevent the triggers of headaches when lying on your back.
The Classic offers the same support and comfort as The NAP, but in a classic design more suited for side sleepers, and the sleeper that likes to move around on their pillow thanks to its more traditional shape.
Can I wash my wool duvet?
You can - but you don't need to. To keep your duvet clean simply air it outside or tumble dry it on air setting (no heat) for 15 minutes once a month. If you wish to give it a more thorough clean, please follow the are label on your duvet See full care instructions here.
What size duvet should I be buying?
We agree with sleep experts, choosing a duvet one size bigger than your mattress provides better comfort and warmth. So, for a queen bed - a king duvet is the size we would recommend and for those with a double/king single bed, we suggest a queen.
Should I choose the warm room or cool room duvet?
For those in new homes, and those that sleep hot, you will likely find the 250gsm weight of our 'warm room' duvet to be a great comfort level. For those in older homes, cooler climates, or that always feel chilly in bed - the 350gsm 'cool room' duvet will be the most comfortable weight.
Will my bed smell like sheep?
Natural products have natural scents, but don't worry - if you do happen to notice a faint woolly smell this will gradually disappear. You can speed up this process by hanging your new bedding on the clothesline on a sunny day for 3-4 hours, or in a sunny room with the windows open.
Does it hurt to take wool off the sheep?
Not at all. Shearing isn’t painful — it’s how we keep our sheep healthy and comfortable.
