At the start of summer, our shearers carefully remove the wool from our ewes to keep the girls healthy & comfortable throughout the warmer months.
Once off the sheep's back the wool is washed not once, but twice, to remove dirt & oil, before being sent to our factory* in Christchurch to be engineered into two different forms of woolly magic - Flok Fill and Flok Web.
Flok Fill is our loose filling of soft, springy wool balls that move independently within your pillow and contour to your neck & shoulders while you sleep.
These balls are specially engineered to spring back into shape, stopping your pillow from going flat, while adding extra softness and lightweight comfort to your pillow.
Our signature Flok Fill has been combined with other (non-engineered) Lora Valley wool to create a ‘web’ of soft — and slightly more structured — wool filling.
It’s the best of both worlds: You get the super lightweight ‘puff’ factor of our Flok Fill and because it's one piece of web, the wool can't shift within your duvet - no more cold spots.
