The wool in our bedding is grown on Lora Valley, our farm in New Zealand’s Deep South.
Each summer, our sheep are carefully shorn to keep them comfortable through the warmer months.
Once 'off the sheep's back' the wool travels to Timaru to be washed and cleaned before making its way to Christchurch where it’s transformed into our FlokFill and FlokWeb.
Once engineered into these clever products, our wool travels south again to be crafted into our pillows and duvets, before returning to Lora Valley where we pack each order for you.
FlokFill starts with our Lora Valley wool, which is gently worked into small, springy clusters known as wool knops, pearls or buds.
Forming the fibres this way locks in wool’s natural crimp and creates tiny pockets of air, giving FlokFill its light, lofty feel and natural spring.
Inside our pillows, FlokFill moves freely and bounces back after compression, helping your pillow hold its shape while allowing you to adjust the height and firmness to suit you.
For our duvets, we take our FlokFill a step further, blending it with soft Lora Valley wool to hold it together in one lofty layer.
The air trapped within the knops creates extra bulk and insulation without extra weight, making our duvets light and cloud-like.
FlokWeb* is held together as one piece, ensuring an even distribution of wool throughout your duvet rather than shifting or bunching, for consistent warmth without cold spots.
