Lora Valley (in the deep - deep deep - south) is a family farm surrounded by rolling hills, and a backdrop of native bush. It’s also home to 7000 sheep that grow 27 tonnes of wool each year - a beautiful and sustainable resource, and the inspiration behind Lora & Flok.
We're Tom and Nicola Wylie, the owner / operators of Lora Valley where my (Nicola's) family have been caring for the stock and land for the past 150 years.
Keen to add value and traceability to our wool in a way that would see more Kiwi's enjoying its many benefits - we turned to the items within our home for inspiration.
Bedding ticked all the boxes (who doesn’t love sleep?!), so we decided to engineer our wool into our unique Flok Fill & Flok Web to create a range of bedding essentials that could perform better than the rest. Bedding that wasn't just soft, supportive & sustainable, but encouraged a deeper and more restorative sleep.
The result is a small but powerful lineup of everyday luxuries we’re proud to stand behind — made with NZ wool (a truly incredible fibre) from our very own flock.
